What's Going On in the Capitol, And Why it's Such a Problem

As you may know yesterday the final count and confirmation of the 2020 election was being held in The Capitol Building. Thousands of terrorists mobbed the building, breaking in and taking over, trying to postpone the announcement that Joe Biden will be the next president of the United States. Why were these terrorists rallying? Well, that is because of one Donald J. Trump and his loss of the 2020 US presidential Election.

As was first announced in November, Current President Donald Trump lost his campaign to continue to assume presidency for the next four years. Yesterday was the final recount and vote of congress, not only for the presidential election but for the seats in the Senate and the House Of Representatives. Thousands of Trump supporters converged on the capitol building, ‘protesting’ the outcome of the election, an act that is technically treason.

These terrorists have been breaking into the building, whilst the Senate is in session, yelling, chanting and stealing things from inside. All while these acts of terrorism are happening armed gaurds and police officers on the scene are doing nothing, allowing this violence to contiune instead of shutting it down.

When the Black Lives Matter movement led peaceful protests across the country they were shot with rubber bullets, tear gassed and arrested, when Trump supporters riot and become terrorists the police stand aside, watching the destruction.

President Donald Trump has not condemned these acts of treason, instead using his social media’s to condone them. Telling his followers to keep going, and in doing so putting his position as President of the United States, at risk. That's right, 13 days to the inauguration congress is calling for Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th amendment, taking Trump out of office, saying that if he doesn’t agree they will move forward with plans of impeachment a second time.

The 25th amendment to the US constitution contains the rules and laws of what should happen if a president can no longer serve, whether by death, sickness or retirement. Section four of the amendment states that if the Vice President, Presidential cabinet, and congress agree they may transfer the president pro tempore (for the time being), the senate and speaker of the house of representatives finds him unfit to do his duties, allowing the vice president to assume the position of President of The United States of America. Then within 21 days congress meets to decide if the now former president would be able to be put back in power, and if they decide not, the Vice president will take the role of Act President of the United States, until the next election and inauguration of a new president.

Now, if this were to happen now, mere days from the inauguration of Joe Biden, Donald Trump would be removed from office and Mike Pence placed as acting president until the 20th of January. If the Vice President does not agree Congress will move forward with the plan to impeach Trump, again, just days before he was supposed to end his term as president.

If the situation at the Capitol building yesterday meant anything, it was that no matter what happens from here, many people will be left to believe that Joe Biden won the election unfairly, and that many more unjust acts of far right terrorism are surely, on there way.
